17. Joo Chiat

Along Joo Chiat Road, pastel shophouses from the 1920s and 30s hold the street together, their tiled facades largely intact despite the turnover behind them. The ground floor mix runs from roti prata to natural wine bars, a neighbourhood that accumulated its character slowly and is only now being widely noticed.
